Consuelo Morán Astorga

Abstract

In this work about the scholar bullying have intend to find their (harassed and bullies) prevalence in Spanish adolescents, more specifically at the community of Castile and León. At the same time we have sought its relationship with perceived social support of parents, friends and special person, as well as other variables such as the suicidal ideation. Participated 1873 scholars (53% women), in a accidental sample, of private and public schools, age between 10-18 years. We have found a prevalence rate similar to that found in other studies. The correlation analysis found that both bullies and harassed adolescents have increased suicidal ideation that those not involved in that process. Both harassed and bullies perceive little social support from parents and peers, but the harassed scholars perceive less social support from friends, colleagues, and special person. Bullies perceive like superiors in sport skills, lower in academic performance. From these results we conclude that teenagers need more support from parents, teachers and peers to be able to grow and develop with better health.
