Abstract
The colors transmit messages and may influence feelings, develop emotions and modify indi-vidual and collective behaviors. Color can appear on every possible context, such as art, clothing, products, house decoration, equipments and sports infrastructures, among others, revealing positi-ve and negative feelings. In fact, color is more than an optical phenomenon or technical element, because it acts differently on every occasion (Heller, 2007).
This paper is based on a retrospective study, a qualitative review of the literature about color, in order to understand their influence in different environment, taking in account that individuals are influenced by colors.According the results from this work, it appears that color could spread several feelings depend-ing on culture, age and gender.
From this point of view, the responsible for the “architecture” and the color selection for the main elements and components of the buildings for training and competition (facilities, equipment, etc.), should be aware of its specific chromatic issues in order to promote athlete’s stability and improve their performances.
