Abstract
New undergraduate students need, as one of the previous steps to achieve good learning outcomes, orientation activities channeled through Welcome Programs, which should cover tutorial activities to help students in the transition between educational levels. These programs are being implemented gradually in the University, but they require serious evaluation to analyze their development and improve its applicability, for greater efficiency in planned actions, actual coordination and greater alignment and consistency with the current situation. Thus, research, analysis and reflection in this topic is essential. This work, based on studies and research conducted on the topic, develops and implements a virtual tool for students to be incorporated into the University, identifying important factors in guiding, analyzing and studying them to allow us to propose actions for improvement in the transition from high school to university. Finally, we report, in general, the results of students’ views regarding the clear need for improved guidance and training received in the transition phase.
