Mejora de la competencia social en educación infantil.

Abstract

Students’ antisocial behavior is a tending topic in the last years. Thus there is a special sensibility towards the establishment of effective intervention programs for facing it. In this work, the results of an antisocial behavior prevention program for children from 3 to 6 years aged are showed. The program persecutes the social competence promotion as a protective factor towards the origin and development of antisocial behavior. So, the main goal is to improve the students’ social competence for avoiding future antisocial behaviors and the negative consequences of them. The research is based into a longitudinal design with an experimental group. The participants (N=197) were trained during three years. The data were collected using the Preschool and Kindergarten Behavior Scale – Reviewed (PKBS-2). The analyisis was done using the SPSS 15.0 and EQS 6.1. The results show significant progress among participants in all scale’s sub-areas and in the social competence scores as well.
